DECEMBER NOTEWORTHY

 

 

1.      ANNUAL HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE:   The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Annual Christmas Open House on Friday, December 16^th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce offices, 518 Shawnee Street , Leavenworth .  All Chamber of Commerce members and their spouses are invited to attend and enjoy libation, hors d’oeuvres provided by the Women’s Division, and share the holiday spirit with Chamber of Commerce members.

2.      THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL MEETING & BANQUET will be held on Wednesday, January 18^th , 2006, at the Riverfront Community Center .  The social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and program following at 7 p.m.  We will recognize outgoing members of the Board of Directors, introduce new Directors and the incoming 2006 President, make the Citizen of the Year and Junior Citizen of the Year presentations and, of course, conduct a drawing for some great prizes.  Call the Chamber of Commerce office now, 682-4112, and make your reservations.  The cost is only $25 per person for a great evening of fun and entertainment.

3.      CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD :   The Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the prestigious Citizen of the Year Award. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office, 518 Shawnee Street or go to the Chamber website (www.leavenworth-lansingareachamberofcommerce.com) and download the nomination form - or call 682-4112 and we’ll mail or fax one to you.  The Citizen of the Year will be recognized at the Annual Meeting & Banquet on January 18^th, 2006, at the Riverfront Community Center .
